Voted as the best game of the Global Game Jam 2020 in Amsterdam! In this game, players each try to repair the world in their own way; either through placing beautiful trees, or creating a thriving industry with factories.

A little about the project

In Global Showdown, two players face off against each other when trying to 'repair' the world in their own way. For some this means planting beautiful trees, but for others this may come in the form of building thriving industries.
During this standoff both players will use any means necessary to achieve their perfect world! Chop down forests to turn trees into paper, sabotage oil tankers by giving them the titanic experience or even summon meteor strikes all the way from space to trash your opponent's tiles. There's two rounds per game and players switch sides, reversing their roles and ideals.
